Jan 17,2025Daily operating specifications are the first line of defense to extend their service life. Common equipment losses on engineering sites are mainly caused by physical impact and environmental erosion. When operating, the original anti-fall protective box (IP65 and above protection level) must be used. Its internal EVA mold can accurately fix the fuselage to avoid optical axis deviation caused by transportation bumps. In high temperature and high humidity environments (such as tunnels and basements), the built-in XX-DryTech drying mode of the device must be activated after each use, and a silica gel desiccant (moisture absorption rate ≥35%) must be placed to prevent the circuit board from being damp and short-circuited. For dusty environments, we strongly recommend the installation of dust filter components (PM2.5 filtration efficiency 99.5%) and the removal of the airtight cabin weekly to clean the dust accumulated in the heat dissipation channel. Optical component maintenance must follow the one-way cleaning principle: use a non-woven cloth dipped in 99% concentration isopropyl alcohol and wipe in a single direction along the laser emission port to avoid back and forth friction to scratch the coating layer. In terms of battery management, lithium battery equipment should be kept at 30%-50% power during long-term storage to prevent over-discharge and lock-up; the dry battery version needs to check the electrode contacts monthly to prevent leakage and corrosion when used continuously for 6 months or the environment exceeds 40°C.
Regular maintenance needs to focus on mechanical and optical core components. The output power attenuation curve of the laser diode shows that the light decay usually exceeds 15% after 2000 hours of cumulative use, which is manifested as a darkening or disconnection of the beam. At this time, it must be returned to the factory to calibrate the optical path with a laser interferometer (in accordance with JJG 1034-2022 standard). After 5000 self-test cycles, the carbon brush wear of the automatic leveling motor will cause the compensation angle error to exceed ±0.02°, and the accuracy can be restored through the annual deep maintenance package (including 12 services such as bearing grease replacement). If the radial runout of the rotating bearing exceeds 0.01mm (common after about 100,000 revolutions), it will cause abnormal rotation and trajectory deviation, and special tools are required to adjust the preload. Calibration management needs to be institutionalized: In addition to calibration after each fall or sudden temperature change (>20°C), it is recommended to detect the horizontal error through the three-axis self-check mode every 6 months. When it exceeds 0.3mm/m, use the XX-CalKit wrench to fine-tune the calibration screw. The vertical accuracy needs to be corrected with the factory calibration wall and the dial indicator.
Extreme working conditions require customized protection strategies. In a low-temperature environment of -20°C, direct startup may cause power outages due to the decrease in lithium battery activity. The temperature should be gradually raised to above 5°C in an incubator, or replaced with XX-BT200 low-temperature batteries (-30°C discharge efficiency>85%). The coastal salt spray environment will accelerate the aging of the sealing rubber ring. After 2 years, the hardness change exceeds 10 Shore A and needs to be replaced, otherwise the IP66 protection capability will be lost. For precision-sensitive scenarios such as prefabricated buildings, it is recommended to return to the factory every quarter to upgrade the high-precision module (such as the 0.1mm/m upgrade package), and the labor cost can enjoy a 50% discount. The scrapping of equipment must strictly follow three standards: the cumulative use of the laser tube exceeds 8,000 hours and the light decay is greater than 40%, the mainboard corrosion area is greater than 30%, or the body is deformed, resulting in the flatness of the reference surface exceeding 0.5mm. Participating in the old-for-new program can deduct up to ¥800, and scrapped equipment can also be exchanged for training teaching aids to help improve the skills of construction teams.
According to customer data in previous years, the equipment return rate of enterprises that strictly implement this guideline has dropped by 62%. Maintenance is not only a cost control measure, but also the core guarantee of engineering quality - your rigor will directly determine whether the laser level can continue to output sub-millimeter accuracy in the next decade. As a manufacturer of laser levels, we are well aware that the long-term reliability of equipment directly affects the efficiency and cost of engineering construction.
