How to maintain the laser level to extend its service life?

1. Daily Use Safeguards
Avoid bangs and drops. Laser level's core parts, like tubes, are fragile. Impacts can misalign its optics. This impacts accuracy. Handle with care during use. Shun violent shaking. 
Block dust and moisture. Most levels resist dust (IP54). But, much dust or wetness harms components. Use covers on harsh jobsites. Dodge high humidity zones.
Operate correctly. Follow all instructions. Turn off power when idle. This curbs battery drain. Return the level to its case for safety.

2. Regular Upkeep
Purge the laser window.  This window outputs the beam. Clean to keep the line bright. Use a soft, dry cloth.  Lens paper also works. Shun harsh cleaners that can mar glass. 
Inspect the casing. The casing shields inner parts. Mend cracks promptly.  Replace broken housings. This prevents exposure. 
Calibrate routinely. Laser lines can shift over time. Have pros check and calibrate. This maintains level accuracy.

3. Battery Handling
Charge with care. Use the right battery and charger. Avoid overcharging the batteries. Also avoid letting them deplete for too long. Take out batteries during long idleness. Store in a cool spot to prevent leaks.
Manage backups well. Construction areas are tough.  Bring spare batteries to cope with sudden outages. Change backup batteries regularly. Old batteries degrade.

4. Storage Basics
Duck extreme places. Store your laser level in dry, aired spots. This avoids harm from heat and wet. 
Employ its case. Use the maker's case for transport.  Use the case when storing for extended time. It protects from shakes, grime, and dampness.

5. Fixing Snags
Forbid DIY fixes. Do not take it apart if it breaks. Call the manufacturer to have a look. Doing so will maintain the warranty.
Act quickly when broken.  If lines are blurry or device will not power on, quit using it.  Contact repair staff. Change worn components to ensure proper function.
